Bill Ludlow, P.E.
President, CEO and Co-Founder, CRATIV Packaging
Bill is a licensed professional mechanical engineer in the State of California and has more than twenty-five years of experience in the fields of ASTM crankcase oil testing, commercial solar energy generation, oil and gas equipment manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, cannabis infused product manufacturing, and child-resistant packaging development and manufacturing. Bill holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Austin College and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
The majority of Bill’s career was in the medical device industry where he held positions as Principle Engineer, Operations Manager, and Plant Manager with Fortune 500 companies including Cardinal Health, CareFusion, and Becton Dickinson. The last three years of Bill’s career has been focused in the cannabis industry. He served as the President of Bronnor Corporation, a manufacturer of infused products in Denver. Bill is the Co-Founder and currently holds the position of President & CEO with CRATIV Packaging, a company focused on the design and manufacturing of child-resistant packaging.
In early 2015 when Bill arrived in Denver he began to study the cannabis industry and identified packaging that promotes compliance and branding as an opportunity. He gathered market research and design inputs for new packaging development by measuring products such as edibles. Bill is well studied on child-resistant packaging compliance and well versed on regulations and testing standards such as ASTM D3475-14, 16 CFR 1700.20, and the Poison Prevention Packaging Act of 1970. With his experience developing child-resistant packaging, running an infused products manufacturer, and years of experience in the regulated medical device industry, Bill brings a unique perspective as it relates to packaging, compliance, and operations in the cannabis industry.
